For drawing anime doe eyes, you will need the following basic supplies:

Additionally, if you are a beginner, it may be beneficial to have a few reference images of anime characters with doe eyes to help you understand the shapes and proportions better.
Step 1: Start by sketching the basic structure of the eye. You can start by drawing a simple oval shape. Keep in mind that the eye is not a perfect circle, and the top should have a rounded curve. The bottom edge of the eye should be slightly flat, forming the lower eyelid. Use light, loose lines at this stage, as they will serve as a guide for the final eye shape.
Step 2: Next, Determine the placement of the pupil by sketching a small, round circle inside the oval. The size and position of the pupil will depend on the expression you want to convey in your anime character. Typically, the pupil should be placed towards the bottom half of the eye, leaving room for the upper eyelid.
Step 3: Now, Draw the outline of the upper eyelid by sketching a semi-circular shape connecting the top of the eye and the pupillary area. The eyelid should follow the shape of the eye and form a curvilinear boundary. Keep in mind that the eyelid should have a slight curve and thin towards the outer corner.
Step 4: For step 4, you'll want to sketch the outline of the lower eyelid. Begin by drawing a short, slightly curved line extending downwards from the outer corner of the eye. Next, draw a longer, gently curved line towards the inner corner, forming the bulk of the lower eyelid. Make sure the line is slightly thicker near the center and becomes thinner as it reaches the inner corner.
Step 5: To start step 5, you can now add eyelashes to enhance the anime doe eye. Begin by sketching a few strands of eyelash along the edge of the upper and lower lid, starting at the outer corner and working your way towards the center. The eyelashes should be drawn long and curving slightly outwards, giving the eyes a fluttery, beautiful look.
Step 6: Now it's time for step 6, shading. Use your graphite pencils (preferably 2B, 4B, and 6B) to add depth to your eye by shading specific areas. Start by shading the pupil and the areas around it to give it a darker appearance. Then use a light touch to shade the rest of the eye, creating highlights and shadows, which will enhance the overall shape and give the eye a more realistic appearance. Blend the shaded areas using a blending stump or tortillion to give it a smooth finish.
Step 7: In the last step, step 7, you can add final touches and highlights to your doe eye. Use an eraser to gently erase any areas that you want to highlight, creating a glimmer or shine. You can also use a sharper pencil, like an 8B, to add more contrast and darker shadows for added depth.
