Diamond paintbrush in Procreate

Step 1: Paint Your Diamonds

1. Create a New Canvas

• Open Procreate → Tap "+" → Choose a square canvas (e.g., 3000x3000 px).

2. Draw the First Diamond

• Draw a simple diamond and fill colours prefer plate of blues or red or similar dark colors ( For diamond refer to my previous two tutorials on how to draw a diamond shown

3. Draw another diamond of different shape or angle (optiona)

• If you want variation, draw a second diamond in a slightly different angle or shape.
• Add color tints (blue, red) to make it whimsical.

4. Flatten & Export Your Diamond Stamp

• Merge the layers
• select the layer and click Invert layer
• Remove the background
• Go to Actions (wrench icon) → Share → PNG (transparent background) → Save to Photos.

Step 2: Make Your Diamond Brush

1. Customise paint brush

• Open paint brush studio of DIYvinci inking paint brush (download DIYvinci Procreate paint brushes from its website) or select any brush whose stroke would work better for biamond strokes
• Tap “Shape” → “Edit” → Import → Insert Photo → Choose your saved diamond PNG.

2. Brush Settings Tweaks
(Adjust these under the "Stroke Path", "Shape", and "Rendering" tabs)

• Spacing: Increase (to scatter diamonds across a stroke)
• Jitter: Increase (random scatter)
• Rotation: Set to "Random" (for natural sprinkle feel)
• Opacity: Lower slightly if you want transparent sparkle
• Size: Add pressure sensitivity (under “Apple Pencil”)
• Rendering: Use “Light Glaze” or “Intense Glaze” for soft shine
• Color Dynamics (optional): Enable slight hue shift for rainbow sparkle

3. Name and Save Your Brush

• Tap “About this Brush” → Name it “Diamond Sprinkle” or your choice → Done!

Step 3: Paint with Your Diamond Brush!

• Select your new diamond paintbrush.
• Start painting strokes—each motion will scatter diamonds like stardust!
• You can:
• Fill outlines with sparkles
• Sprinkle diamonds on a dress, a night sky, or a floral center
• Create magical glowing trails, paths, or even entire landscapes

Bonus Tips:

Glow Enhancement:

• Duplicate the diamond stroke layer, blur it slightly, and set it to "Add" for radiance.
• use flare paint brush available in Luminance section to add a shine to the diamond.

Mix With Other Brushes: Combine your diamond brush with glitter or soft light brushes for dreamy textures.
