Create a beautiful, handmade frame full of origami flowers to give your painting a soft, creative touch!
Here is my painting where I have made origami flowers from around the dot mandala painting

Materials You’ll Need:
Colorful origami papers (or any square papers)
Glue or double-sided tape
Scissors
A sturdy base (like thick cardstock or a canvas board) ( if making a separate frame for artwork)
Your painting/artwork
Optional: pearls, sequins, or glitter for decoration
🧡 Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Base
You can either build the flower frame directly on the canvas border, or create it separately on a mount board and insert your painting afterward.
Take your sturdy base (cardstock or canvas board).
Place your painting at the center and lightly trace around it to mark where your frame will go.
Remove the painting for now — we will attach it later.
Step 2: Make the Origami Flowers
Use small squares of origami paper (around 5 cm x 5 cm or 2 inches square).
Fold different types of simple flowers like:
Origami lily
Simple five-petal flowers
Easy rolled roses
Make a bunch of flowers in different colors to keep the frame lively and bright.
Step 3: Arrange the Flowers
Place the flowers around the traced rectangle you made earlier.
Arrange them as you like: packed tightly for a full look, or loosely for a lighter feel.
Try mixing sizes and colors to make it more dynamic and make sure it looks symmetrical and balanced.
Step 4: Glue the Flowers
Carefully glue each flower along the edges of the frame.
Make sure it doesn’t cover the center space for your painting!
Step 5: Add Extra Decorations (Optional)
Stick small pearls, sequins, or glitter dots between flowers for a magical effect.
You can also add tiny folded leaves or vines made of green paper for extra detail.
Step 6: Attach Your Painting
Once the flower frame is dry, carefully stick your painting at the center.
Make sure it's securely fixed and aligned with your flower border.
